It's not good enough to be a survivor. In Christ we have the victory so if we are true believers we live in a place of victory. Yes trials will come your way and sometimes you may stumble but if you stay in right alignment with God and His Holy Spirit you will always be victorious!!!
This is what it means to be a survivor: You are a person who copes well with difficulties in your life. I don't want to just cope but I want to be a winner. I want to be victorious! But to be victorious means to take your commitment to God serious. Kings 17:17, “And they caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire, practiced witchcraft and soothsaying, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.” You see how Satan will take the things of God and turn it for his glory. Fire is meant to burn off all impurities, but Satan has used it to turn man towards him through the anger and fear which is the scars of the fire. Now with Satan it’s through the scars caused by the fire that he will turn their heart towards evil. Think about it. If your parent made you pass through the fire, would you not become angry and hateful and even fearful them. These are all portals – doorways – that Satan uses to gain access to your soul and ultimately your spirit. Even to this day we are causing our children to pass through the fire. Every time you hurt or cause disappointment to your child you are moving him/her 1 step closer to Satan's agenda. So as you can see what we do affects our children also. That's why it's even more important that we get this right. We can keep our child from learning how to be a survivor and instead teach them how to push through to the victory. But lets chose to push them into their own victory even as we are getting our own! Be blessed! Last Saturday we had an amazing experience with God? I was teaching on being changed through brokenness and God began to show me some things about His power and as I began to share this revelation to our members there came a loud sound of a bell and the peal which started behind me resonated throughout the room. It was the most heavenly sound ever and amidst the cries of, "did you hear that", the presence of God began to saturate the atmosphere as our hands and praises rose up! Glory to God!!!
Acts 14:3 says, "Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands." God has said that this is a season of boldness. We must boldly share Jesus with others and in that boldness you will begin to unwrap the power of God. Miraculous things are in store for us this year but only if we begin to walk in boldness declaring to all that Jesus is Lord!!! (To read the message I was giving when this miraculous event occurred go to the Fear Not Ministries website. It will be posted by Wednesday, 1/20/2016.) Be blessed!
