Mark 13:11, “But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.”
How many times do we speak for ourselves and fail instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to speak on our behalf? Once I received a traffic ticket that was going to cost me over $400. I was able to talk the ticket down to $75 myself, but at the time I couldn’t even afford that. So I went back to court the following month. This time a little wisdom kicked in. As I was driving on the highway towards Traffic Court I began to pray. Now I had prayed before the 1st court hearing but I didn’t allow our Father to fully answer the prayer. I took matters into my own mouth, meaning I allowed my flesh to lead. This time I prayed and I asked Holy Spirit what to say when I got before the judge. I was told clearly what to say to the judge. So I’m at court and the judge seems to be of good nature. That was… before a lady goes before her and asks a question in which she was told, “No” and proceeded to ask the same question at least 12 times. I could see the judge getting angry now and I prayed that my name wasn’t called until she had cooled down. That didn’t happen. There was only 1 person called before me, but as I came forth I became empowered by Holy Spirit. I asked for an even further reduction and the judge flat out told me that the fee was as low as it could go. So I then told her what Holy Spirit had told me to say. “Your Honor, it’s like squeezing a sponge that you didn’t get wet. There’s nothing to come out.” The next thing I knew the courtroom was filled with the judge’s laughter! She began shuffling paper and asked me if I could pay $25 to which I said, “Yes Maam. I have $10 on me now and I will pay the additional $15 next month.” This judge then told me that she didn’t want to take my last $10, but I assured her that I could pay it. From over $400 to $25, just because the Holy Spirit said so! You don’t know how many people asked me how I got her to go so low on the fine and I gave each one of them my testimony. The problem is that most of us have trouble telling our flesh to shut up. In fact, you might even think saying “shut up” is rude. It’s not. In fact we need to make it a daily affirmation. “Shut up flesh!” If we would do this then Holy Spirit would not have to fight our flesh to help us. But know this, just because you didn’t consult Holy Spirit doesn’t mean that you won’t find some success, but if you want the true victory you are going to have to shut your flesh down so that Holy Spirit can speak and take the lead. It is only then that we become true victors. Be blessed! Evangelist Cheryl Davies (www.fearnotministries.com) #sharingiscaring #JesusisLord

Yesterday God impressed on me the value of the stone. He was trying to explain to me how precious a stone is. So many times we take the little things for granted, but this little thing, this small stone, is a big thing indeed. And He took me back to the beginning.
Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” The earth was 1 of the first things that God created. I sometimes think about dirt and how we came from dirt, but I have never related the stone to dirt/soil. When God first created the earth it was just 1 big rock without form. By without form is implicating that it was round, but to create a rock first has to carry importance. Everything that God created on the earth then came out of this rock. In the Old Testament the stone is often mentioned as be costly. Break the stone and you’ll find all kinds of precious gemstones and metals, but as in everything else good in life it takes strength and hard work. The stone is used to form a foundation. Luke 6:48, “He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.” The stone is unshakeable! It’s stable and steady! The stone can elevate things. Numbers 23:9, “For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.” On top of the rock we can be seen by all and no one and nothing can stand against us. And then there is the rock that will rock your world. A stone like no other stone. That rock is our Father God, YHWY. The unmovable, undiminishing and indestructible stone! 1 Samuel 2:2, “There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.” Without this stone we are as the world helpless and defeated. Deuteronomy 32:31, “For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.” They can’t call on the rock like you. Your belief in this rock has the power to do the impossible. It has the power to overcome all your adversaries. It has the power to pull you out of every struggle. So today if you are struggling, if you are battling, if you are being assassinated in your character or spirit. Climb on top of the stone. Be elevated above it all. Stand upon the rock that is our God. Be blessed! Evangelist Cheryl Davies www.fearnotministries.com A special message to those whose stand alone in their pain. Today I want to talk to you about how being a wise witness can help to heal your broken heart and bring you back into the presence of God.
Do you ever think about the seeds that have been sown into you? That’s right, many seeds have been sown into each of us. Some good and many bad. And a whole bunch of seeds that we didn't realize had been planted. So let’s first talk about this planting. This sowing into our spirit. There are so many ways that seeds are sown into our spirits. People, music, television, books. By what we see and by what we hear and yes, even by what we touch. And people can damage people by the seeds that they sow into them. The most damaging seeds come from what we hear and what we see. What we witness. Everything you see, hear, touch or smell makes you a witness to that thing. People can damage people and this not only happens in the world but this is also happening in many of today’s churches and God wants me to tell you that He wants to heal you. He wants to make you whole again and He wants to remove all your fears. You might have been looking for the love of God but instead received hurtful words or actions that were then sown into your spirit. Let’s face it, hurt is an emotion that is very hard to control, but I’m here to tell you that it can be done. The first thing we have to do is to learn how to forgive the person for the hurt and disappoints that they caused. True forgiveness will begin to release the pain you have been feeling. Yes you have been a witness to these things and the seed that was sown actually wasn't pain. The seed that was sown was discouragement and doubt. And with these two spirits what happens is that you begin to put up a defensive wall. Especially if this has happened to you more than once. It begins to build-up a wall of distrust in churches in general and their leaders. They hurt you and you will not allow that to happen again. I've experienced this wall in people when we went out witnessing on the streets of San Diego. Some people said they believe in God but refuse to get involved in organized religions because of past experiences, past hurts. They've been hurt and nobody wants to be hurt repeatedly. They've allowed the seeds of what they have witnesses to build a wall of distrust and let me tell you what the job of distrust is. To move you away from God. I read a story a month ago that just seems to stay with me. There was a Pastor that had a faithful congregation. For a few services a male parishioner had been absent and so he decided to go visit him to make sure that he was alright. So the man invites him in and they have a seat in front of the fireplace to talk. He asks the man why he’s been missing service and the man tells him, “Well Pastor. I figure I can worship the Lord just as well at home as at church.” The Pastor didn't reply. Instead he gets up and goes to the fireplace. He gets the poker and knocks out a coal to the hearth and sits back down. They both watch the coal as its heat begins to wane and it get colder and colder until there is no heat left while in the fireplace the flames still burned strong. Then the man says, “I’ll see you next Sunday.” What the man witness is that when we are separated from the fire of our brothers and sisters in Christ our fire for God begins to wane. Our flame begins to dwindle until there is no heat left. This is the place that Satan wants to get you to. Once you separate from the body he begins to whisper into your spirit and you begin to question everything you know to be true. You begin to have doubts and you begin to move closer to being one with the world instead of one with Christ. You begin to make compromises and when your spirit tells you no, you tell it that everything is okay. But it’s not, is it? You see God did move you from the place of pain, the place of hurt, but God separating you from the things that were hurting you did not mean that He wanted you to be alone. That was the point where you were supposed to draw strength from God. That was the point where you were supposed to begin to trust in the Holy Spirit to guide you to the place God wanted you to be. The bible says in Acts 20:22-24, “ And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: (Does this sound like your daily testimony? We never know what we are walking into. This even includes the moment we open a book, the moment we click on the tv or radio, the second we turn on the computer. The moment we step into the presence of another human being. We never know what will befall us. What will be sown into our spirits? But you were supposed to be bound in the Holy Spirit like Luke was. We go bound in the spirit.) Verse 23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. (So you are going to afflicted by man as well as other things, but Holy Ghost is our prewitness. Holy Ghost can see where we are headed and what will meet us there.) Verse 24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.” Luke knew that he didn't have to worry about what was waiting for him because he was in tune with the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit knew. Therein lays our problem. Are we in tune with Holy Spirit? I can’t get enough of teaching on the Holy Spirit. It is Holy Spirit that Jesus sent to be our comforter. Did you seek His comfort? Holy Spirit has been trying to guide us through this life from the very beginning but HOW in tune are you to His guidance? Holy Spirit has been trying to direct your path for a long time now. So as you witness a seed is sown and every seed sown can and will grow roots. Good roots that help to propel you into how God sees you and bad roots meant to transform you from a child of God to a child of Satan. The fruit that you eat, (witness) is the fruit that you will become. In other words we are what we eat. We become what we see and what we take into our spirit. It’s a gradual change that begins with that spirit of distrust. Distrust comes from the seeds that have been sown in your spirit from the things you have witnessed. We become what we witness. So if you have left the church because of past pains the seeds that were meant to be choked to death through the fortification you receive each time you attended service will begin to grow limbs because you are standing alone. And what do these limbs carry? They carry leaves of doubt. You begin to doubt God which leads to you doubting who you are in God. They carry leaves of fear and distrust. You won’t go to church again because you become scared that you will be hurt once again. And they carry leaves of separation. We are supposed to be 1 body. The Body of Christ, but if you separate yourselves from others you begin to break away from the Body of Christ. So how do we get back in alignment with God? How do we begin to trust again? How do we begin to heal? 1st we have to train ourselves to be wise witnesses. Take control of what we are seeing and hearing from people, from television, from what we are reading. Become a witness to only good seeds. Read your Word daily. Build up some strength. Next begin to have conversations with Holy Spirit. If you can’t hear Him just talk to Him until you do. Up til now you've trained your ears to not hear Him so now you have to train your ears and your spirit to hear again. Start visiting churches and keep visiting until Holy Spirit says “yes”. Remember Acts 20, “ And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: 23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. 24 But none of these things move me,” Luke suffered the afflictions but he did not allow them to move him out of alignment with God and His will for his life. So finally, begin to exercise a little self-control over your emotions. Do not allow them to move you. I’m not saying you won’t feel the emotional pain when you get hurt. What I’m saying is that you will not allow the hurt to dictate your actions. Yes we will make mistakes but the important thing is to not give up and to not sit still. The longer you allow seeds of distrust and hurt to rule your actions the further away you will move from Jesus. You will begin to feel that God has left you which is a lie. Psalm 34:18 says that The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart. This means that even if you feel that God has left you, He never has. He never will. He’s right there waiting for you to say “Yes Lord” so that He can begin to mend all the pain in you that was cause by the seeds that man has sown into your spirit. Won’t you allow God to heal your broken heart today? You can’t go it alone. You weren't meant to go it alone. If you look back I’m sure you will see that God had others standing with you and now you have left them behind as well as the Lord. Come back. God is waiting. Be blessed!
