"O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today if ye will hear his voice,"
Psalm 95:6-7 Throughout the Bible there is a phrase that is repeatedly written and when we read something in the Bible over and over again this is God’s way of telling us to pay attention, this is very important: Repeatedly man has “heard the voice of God.” Genesis 3:8, “And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.” And they heard the voice of God! And then verse 10 again says: “And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.” Adam repeated that he had heard God’s voice. Listen! Numbers 7:89, “And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.” Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. (There are many more scripture relating to hearing the voice of God and I’ve added them below for you.) These men are talking about hearing the voice of God. These are people in the Old Testament hearing the voice of God. But Jesus sacrificed His life so that we may be closer to God. Should we not also be hearing the voice of our Lord God? How many of you hear the voice of God? Listen! Beloved, if you are not hearing the voice of God then somethings not right, and it can only be 1 of 3 things: 1) Many of you believe that God only speaks to those that He chooses to speak to? You were made to believe that God speaks only to a chosen few. 2) You’re so busy doing your own thing you don’t have time for God. Sometimes we can be so busy, even in the church, but that busyness isn’t from God. How do you tell the difference? If you are so busy that you don’t have time to read your Word, to spend time in prayer, or just spend time talking with God…. Then you are too busy. Or… 3) You just don’t listen or don’t know how to listen. Listening is a learned technique. You not only have to close your mouth but you have to close your mind as well. You ever wonder why we have 1 mouth and 2 ears? Because hearing is far more important than talking. Listen… So let me set a few things straight. Because of Jesus dying on the cross for you so that you can have an intimate relationship with God, everyone is supposed to hear the voice of God. Not just your leaders in the church, but everyone. If you really want to hear his voice you will have to get past that lie first. Satan don’t want you to hear from God so he created the lie that only certain people can hear the voice of God. But it is every man’s God given right to be able to hear the voice of the Lord. And stop trying to decipher whether the quiet sound you hear is God speaking to you. The Word says we hear the voice of God. Let me tell you the definition of the word voice: Voice – a sound produced in the larynx and uttered through the mouth, to express something verbally in words. If it is a voice then it can be heard and it is coming from out of a mouth. Did God not make us in His own image? (Gen. 1:27) How do you hear? You hear with your ears. Now there is 3 ways in which God speaks to man: 1) Through our eyes (dreams, visions, & visual signs) 2) Through our hearts (a knowing of what is right and what is wrong) 3) Through our ears (speaking to us personally, hearing the voice of God) Job 33:14-17, "For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; 16 Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, 17 That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man." It all comes down to 1 thing. We must listen to hear the voice of God. I have heard God’s voice clearly and I have heard His voice as if it was being carried upon the wind speaking right into my spirit, but I heard the voice of God. Beloved, God is still speaking to you today. Let’s begin to work on our listening because everything God has to say to us is important. If we would but listen more, we will begin to make fewer mistakes in life. Set some alone time each day and practice listening. No speaking, no requests… just Listen! Be blessed! I've been teaching on how to walk in the favor of God and it all has to do with us stepping into and staying in the glory of God. Walking in the glory of God means that you are overshadowed by the power of God.
Beloved, God didn't give His power to just a few of us. He gave it to all of His children. Read Luke 9:1-6, Jesus told the apostles to go out into the world and take nothing with them. This means that POWER that He so loving granted us is so strong and so powerful that we don’t need anything else. It is this POWER that provides all our needs. We don’t have to have money because this POWER draws us to a place where God pours out. Everything is giving to us through the POWER of God. Food, shelter, clothing, these are very small things to the Lord, but we, man, have made them bigger than they are. We are diminishing the POWER of God every time we declare we need money for this or money for that. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” The Power of God was placed in our mouths. Romans 4:17 “and call those things which be not as though they were.” God gave us this power. The power of God! Romans 13:1-2 says, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no POWER but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resist the POWER, resist the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.” Stop resisting the POWER of God that is in you! Romans 5:1-2, “By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us—set us right with him, make us fit for him—we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us.” He’s giving us His POWER! So how do you access the POWER of God? By FAITH. By unspeakable FAITH. By humongous FAITH. Romans 1:17, “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 "For we walk by faith, not by sight." But we can heal, we can deliver, we can move mountains and cause the rain to fall, (or to stop), but it’s only through the POWER of God. The same POWER He gave to Jesus, He gave to me, He gave to you. When we pray we are supposed to see things happened immediately. Say “NO MORE DELAYS”. Say “IMMEDIATELY”. The POWER of God! Now raise your hands if you want to begin to access this POWER, the POWER of God, in your life now. Open your mouth and declare that the power of God yours and that you are walking in it daily! Be blessed! Evangelist Cheryl Davies (www.fearnotministries.com) As we draw close to Fear Not Ministries' 4th Anniversary I felt compelled to go back to the beginning. This was our 1st post and the original foundation in which Fear Not Ministries was built upon. Everything with substance begins with the fear of the Lord. If you want to conquer fear, your victory begins with your fear of the Lord. This speaks of respect and honor for who God is, what God is capable of doing and God's insurmountable, unconquerable and invincible power!.
Glory to God on the highest! God has grown this ministry from a tiny little seed into a beautiful and fruitful tree whose branches stretches out to many nations. As a ministry we want to thank you for your encouragement, support and prayers. We also thank you for trusting us to bring forth the Word of God and His understanding boldly, lovingly and truthfully. We thank you for your testimonies of prayers answered and we stretch out our arms and heart with love for each one of our readers and prayer warriors. We especially want to thank those that have joined with us in praying over the requests that we have received and we will forever be grateful for your continued support. Please join us in prayer as we ask Father God to continue to bless, grow and increase His vision for Fear Not Ministries International and may Jesus continue to be the beginning of the love we have for each other! As always, Be blessed! Evangelist Cheryl Davies (www.fearnotministries.com) Isaiah 61:3
"To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”" When most see this scripture they look at it as a scripture used to comfort those who have lost a loved one. I, see all the things that were in your way that God had to burn off of you to get you to the plan! Many times you mourn for the things that God had to change, but God says, "No more crying over the ashes! They are gone, gone, gone. Blown away. You don't need those things anymore." Yes, some of the stuff that God has taken away from us we needed at the time that we owned it. Some of our emotion helped us at the time, but those same emotions have now become a hindrance to the new you. They don't even belong to you any more so God has burned them away. Philippians 1:6 says, "Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;" So once these things are burned away God begins to complete the work He had already started in you. Remember the plan. Yes, He has a plan but it takes a lot of hard work to finish the plan. A lot of inner changes. You know how I like to talk about self-evaluations? What do you see in you now? Have you been changes? God doesn't give you ashes until you are ready for the next chapter. Everything God does has a purpose and this purpose has to do with you personally. It's meant to take you to another level. To move you to higher faith. So are you ready? Be blessed! Evangelist Cheryl Davies (www.fearnotministries.com) Are you allowing God to move in your life?
Here's the thing, don't focus on yourself too much. Began to focus on others. Look at Job. As long as he was focus on all the bad things happening he couldn't think about no one but himself, But.... the instant he began to pray for his friends (and some were not really good friends, but he prayed for them anyway) God began to release Job's blessings. He had a complete TURNAROUND. That TURNAROUND can be yours to claim also. Pray for your friends both good and bad! Job 42:10-12, "And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. 11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the Lord had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold. 12 So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning:" God is just waiting on you. Be blessed! Evangelist Cheryl Davies (www.fearnotministries.com) #CaringIsSharing #GodIsGod #JesusIsLord #Pray Sometimes there can be so much strife in our family unit.
Luke 12:53, "The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law." We all know that the family that prays together stays together. Not only that but when we keep God in the midst it helps us get along so much better. But we are human and we are each unique in our own way so we tend to bump heads. We tend to get angry with each other and more than often we tend to want to control each other's desires. And sometimes we have to pray for each other and sometimes we have to pray for ourselves. So today I'm praying for the families. I'm praying for peace, compassion and unity in our families and I declare to you today that God is removing every issue in you and your family. By faith receive it and it is done.
