I had the most wonderful root canal today! Trust in your prayers guys. I have a very low tolerance for pain when it comes to my teeth, but I activated all of my weapons today.
1) I listened and song praise songs on the way to my appointment calling on the presence of Jesus. Cristabel Clack "Your Presence Is Heaven" , Israel & New Breed original. I read scriptures, Isaiah 41:10 "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Psalm 65:5 "By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:" I prayed and then my dentist and her assistant joined hand and prayed with me. She gave me the shots to numb my gums and then left the room. I prayed some more calling on God and His angels to minster to me and just as they were entering the room I felt the tap of an angel on my shoulder. Praise the Lord for the peace that came over me. I wanted to shout but I had too much stuff in my mouth so I laughed instead. There was no pain!!! Oh you don't hear me. I said there was no pain!!! You see I have very long roots and bones in my mouth and it's very hard to anesthetize me. But I felt no pain! My God!!! When I tell you that He is faithful you better believe it for His Word says, "Ask and you shall receive." (John 16:24) I just want to praise Him for He is so worthy!!!! Be blessed! A Word of Encouragement in the Midst of Sorrow: Job 41:22, "In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him." I want to encourage those that are grieving today. God says that there is still strength in your neck. So continue to hold your head up for He will turn your sorrow to joy. I heard the Lord say that this is a Season of Praying and Waiting. Luke 1:13 says, "But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard;" Today know in your heart that your prayer is heard. So hold your head up! Through pain, sorrow, and disappointments, hold your head up. There is strength in you neck and your prayers have been heard. Be blessed! Evangelist Cheryl Davies ""Shalom" is comprised of four Hebrew letters: "Sheen", "Lamed", "Vav" and "Mem". The letter "Sheen", represented as teeth, illustrates destruction. "Lamed" portrays a staff and illustrates authority. "Vav", illustrated as a nail or a tent peg, carries the ideas of fastening, securing, or establishing. And finally, "Mem" is displayed as water, and illustrates chaos. So the Hebrew word picture for "shalom" communicates this message – "destroying the authority that establishes chaos"! Do you want "shalom" in your life? You will need to deal with the roots and causes of chaos. The one and only successful way to do that is through faith in and identity with Yeshua (Jesus) your Sar Shalom – your prince of Peace – because He has already disarmed the authorities which establish chaos and will soon destroy them completely. He said, These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." [John 16:33]" (Quoted from George Whitton, Worthy Briefs) You can find more of these great Worthy Briefs Devotionals at http://www.worthynetwork.com/sign-up Do you fight with feelings of being inadequate? The enemy within me. This is a fight within and the hardest battle to defeat. Am I living up to my full potential? Am I being obedient to God? I messed up once again. God said that he forgives me, but so He really? These are questions that we all ask ourselves at one time or another. I want you to know that this isn't you. This is words whispered at your mind. Thoughts that entered through the suggestions of the enemy because he knows that if he can make you fill guilty, he has a chance of persuading you to take that step out of alignment with God. If you beat yourself up it opens the door for him to beat you down even more. Just stop it. That's right. Stop them thoughts the minute they begin. Begin to take on the thoughts of God. Does He not say in His Word: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11) God's thoughts for us never change. He knows us better than we know ourselves so let's begin to see ourselves as God sees us. We have to stop listening to the report that does not belong to God. When those thoughts enter your mind begin to cast them out immediately. And if you begin to feel you are losing the battle in your mind, then you better go up. Use your spirit language because our spirit knows how battle even better than you. Be blessed! Evangelist Cheryl Davies (Fear Not Ministries) Bondage has only two purposes and that is to make you sin and to keep you out of heaven. It's time to stamp an expiration date on your bondage. Set your date and work to be free when that day is reached. Tell the Devil, "Your time is short because my freedom is at hand. You better vacate the premises by ___________ or face your destruction." Hebrews 2:14-15, "Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." (NKJV) Evangelist Cheryl Davies (Fear Not Ministries) Some of you will not want to read this posting, but if you are truly seeking after the truth, then seek it today and be enlightened. Throughout the Bible God has placed great emphasis on names. For example: Genesis 29:34-35, “She conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Now this time my husband will become attached to me, because I have borne him three sons.” Therefore his name was called Levi. And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Now I will praise the Lord.” Therefore she called his name Judah. Then she stopped bearing.” (Levi and Judah were the beginning of two tribes, the Levities and the Tribe of Judah. Levi means “attached” and Judah means “praise”. ) Genesis 32:28, “And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”” (His blessing for his struggle. Israel means “God contended”) 2 Samuel 12:24-25, “Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba, and he went to her and made love to her. She gave birth to a son, and they named him Solomon. The Lord loved him; and because the Lord loved him, he sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah. (His name was changed out of love. Jedidiah means “beloved by God”) Acts 13:9, “Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.” (His name was changed because of his rebirth. Paul means “humble”.) Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” (Immanuel means “God is with you”.) Names are very important in the Kingdom of God. Now with that in mind we have to look at one of the most sacred events that is almost here. The resurrection of Jesus. Years back I request the Father to cut out of me everything that was not of Him and that meant I needed to know the truth in everything. All lies had to be revealed so that I could destroy them and they would no longer have dominion over my life. I pray this for you today as the truth is revealed to you. Many Christians have adopted the habits of the secular world and get excited when it is time to celebrate “Easter”. So what does this word “Easter” mean? It was ultimately named for the Germanic spring goddess Eostre. It was traditionally given to children born on Easter, though it is no longer done today. This goddess was the god of fertility, thus you have the egg and the rabbit. She was a sexual god that the pagans committed many sexual rituals to honor her in the belief that they would bear children with her blessing. It is these rituals that the early Christians attempted to remove the pagans from committing. These sexual rituals were the most important thing to stop. It wasn’t so bad that they had idols, but it was really bad what they did for these idols. If they could just stop them from practicing the rituals and teach them to believe in Jesus, maybe, just maybe, they will be converted. In actuality, they still preformed their rituals but in secret. Why? Because they had not been fully changed. These early Christians made compromises not only with faith of the pagans, but also with their own faith. It was a case of give and take, but wait! Are we not taught to take nothing from the world? That everything we desire can be found in God? They placed more emphasis on the conversion than on the lifestyle and this resulted in a bad root. Now this is what the Word says on the root: Hosea 9:16, “Ephraim is stricken, Their root is dried up; They shall bear no fruit. Yes, were they to bear children, I would kill the darlings of their womb.” If the root is bad, then there will be no fruit or bad fruit. This made me see this second scripture in a whole new light. Jude 1:12, “These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots;” Easter is a love feast that is feasted on without fear. It does not serve God. It only serves man while implying that it is serving God. When we come to God the Bible tells us to leave behind the things of this world, something the early Christians failed to do or teach when they converted the pagans. It has no association with the sacrifice that Jesus made on the Cross so that you could have salvation. In fact, it is an attempt of the enemy to remove you from that salvation. It has become a generational curse to man. A curse that only you can break off of your bloodline. Pull it up now and destroy it. I appeal to your desire for the truth. Here is another question: What should you give to someone that gave up his life for you? An egg? Come on people! Time is short and this, like so many other things we need to get free of. Our desire has to be more for God than for man. I refuse to face the Father and have Him say to me, “I don’t know you.” But this choice is yours alone to make. Study and show yourselves approved by seeking out the truth on your own. Look for the root and when it is rotten, rip it out of the ground. Be blessed with the truth. Evangelist Cheryl Davies A few years back I was fighting several personal battles. It seemed like I was being bombarded by the enemy. But battle I did. As in the natural, when we battle for too long we become battle weary. I was tired of battling but it got to the point where I did not know how to come off the battlefield. It began to become a burden to me. I felt drained all the time. Couldn't sleep because I was waging war in my sleep. I was not just fighting personal battles, I was battling for others as well and I had not learned how to come off of the battlefield. Up until this point I had only fought 1 or 2 battles at a time. But in order to become what God has called you to be takes training and training goes from the easy to the extreme. This still did not tell me how to come out of the battle or that I needed to come off the battlefield. Our Father, God always knows what we need and so He sent me to someone that could help me. Her name was Pastor Rita Miles and the first thing out of her mouth when she spoke to me was, "Battlefield too long." There was other key words that she spoke to me but when God speaks to me I have to get to a place where it's just me and Him. So I went and found a quiet place and began to speak to the Lord. I told Him that I knew I had been in battle too long and that I had become battle weary. I didn't know how to come out of the battle, and that only He could help me come out. God softly spoke one word to me and my life was changed. What was that word? "Release." And with that word spoken, all tension left, all fatigue left, and I was free from the battles just like that. Now here's the thing. I was so caught up in the battle that my face was covered in spiritual sweat and blood and I could no longer see. I could no longer see that the enemy had been defeated. I could no longer see that the battlefield was empty and only I stood, swinging away at invisible foes. You must see when you have won the victory and stop battling. There is always a time when we must come off the battlefield. Do not let the enemy deceive you into thinking that you still have to fight after the battle has already been won. Sometimes also the enemy must see that he has been defeated. If you are still swinging and he's beaten, even he won't know that the fight is over and it's time for him to give up. As intercessors we have to learn how to sometimes come off of the battleground. As Christians we have to know when to stop fighting. When you have won, the battle is over and sometimes it just takes you walking it off to cool down before you can see that all your foes have been vanquished and that you can now begin to walk in the victory. This does not mean that there will not be other battles, but you must always know when the battle you have been fighting is won and come off of the battlefield. To God be the GLORY! Be blessed! Evangelist Cheryl Davies (Fear Not Ministries) Today I feel that I need to talk about the power of God that lives in you. This is a power that you can depend on. Inside of each of us is a Prayer Warrior. It is more focused in some of us but we all carry this spirit. How focused you are tells of how you see things. Mark 14:37-38, "Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour? 38 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”" Earlier in this Chapter it says that He took Peter, James, and John with Him. Jesus asked all 4 to watch and pray, yet He rebuked only Peter. Could it be that Peter was a more focused Prayer Warrior and more was expected of him. Nevertheless, Jesus asked them all to pray. Luke 22:39-40, "Coming out, He went to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed, and His disciples also followed Him. 40 When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”" If you are in Christ, then you to are called to "Watch and Pray". I now understand why the majority of the time that I am praying I keep my eyes open and am watching what is going on around me and I’m not looking in the natural. As we pray we need to be alert to what is going on around us in the spirit realm, less the enemy creeps in and distract you. Watch and Pray. Yes there is nothing wrong with closing your eyes while you pray but there are times when you need to be watching. The power of prayer forces things to change. To watch the change will allow you to know whether you are praying the right prayers. Here is an example. In one prayer session I began to come against an addiction and I spoke the wrong words trying to kill the thirst for the substance my words became tangled. I immediately saw a change in the atmosphere and stopped praying to see what it was that was wrong. The words were just sitting there waiting for me see my error. I began to pull them back from out of the atmosphere and changed my words to words of life. To watch for some has a different meaning than for others. Some see through their natural eyes and some see through their spirit eyes. This also goes for prayers. You can pray in the natural and you can pray in the spirit. Which is more powerful? The prayers that we pray in the spirit. The reason why is because everything happens in the spirit realm before it happens in the natural. So this isn't a watch in the natural sense. This is a watch in the spiritual sense. Watch and Pray. No matter what level you are at, we all can and should be praying. Even if you don't think you pray very good, keep praying. The more you pray the stronger God becomes in you. Prayer is an activator. We need to be activating things in our lives daily through the power of prayer. Things are moving swiftly right now and this is not the time for us to be distracted. God is moving and Jesus is asking us to, Watch and Pray. Be blessed.
