I've met many Christians that are as timid as a mouse. If you were to point out someone and ask them to go and tell them about Jesus, they would refuse. So I'm asking you, "Do you have a 'I can't do that!' spirit?"
Acts 4:29, "And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word," Many won't say a word because the enemy has deceived them into believing that to speak to others about our God, our Jesus, would bring a threat to them, but to the contrary, our boldness opens the door to signs and wonders so that others may believe. Acts 14:3 "Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of His grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands." Notice how I said "may believe?" For some even seeing signs and wonders will not help them to believe. This is not what you are to worry about. You just drop a seed and pray. We all have family members that are as yet unsaved. We pray for them, and we pray for them, and we pray for them, when we need to begin to put our faith into action. Tell them about our God. Tell them about our Jesus. Even if they don't want to hear. You must begin to sow a seed into their hearts and you can only do that through boldness. 1 Corinthians 3:6 "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase." This scripture always remains in my heart because if we are truthful with ourselves, it really isn't asking that much. It only takes one step to plant a seed. Open our mouths. When a family member asks you how did that happen, take a step in the direction of faith and boldness and tell them, "Jesus did it for me." It doesn't matter if they believe you or even if they begin to speak derogatorily to you. Just sow the seed. This will begin to make your prayers effective. Now you have given God something to work with so that He can send the waterers. To not move now, is to delay their salvation. Yes, God can send someone else to sow the seed that they need, but do you really want your family to be free through Christ. Tell yourself, "No more delays." Go forth in boldness and plant those seeds of salvation. It doesn't take much. Just four little words and one big word, "JESUS did it for me!" Today I am praying that you take on the spirit of boldness. That you open your mouth and testify freely. That you sow a seed into the spirit of an unbeliever. That you plant a seed that will grow into a life of commitment and finally, that God will grant you utterance. Ephesians 6:19 "And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel," Speak it now into their spirit. Sow, sow, and sow and watch God work a miracle on your behalf! Be blessed! Evangelist Cheryl Davies (www.fearnotministries.com)
