Faith Builders

Romans 8:26-30 our Spirit language always knows our needs.

“26 In the same way the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we should pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that are not expressed in words. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints, according to God’s will.

28 We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose, 29 because those God foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he would be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those he predestined, he also called. Those he called, he also justified. And those he justified, he also glorified.”

I don’t know about you but I’ve been having times of weakness lately. This tends to happen in the midst of battles so that we remember where our help comes from without taking the glory upon ourselves.
And I agree that it doesn’t feel good. Just another sign to draw from the Spirit of God. It’s times like these that we need Holy Spirit more than ever. This is also a sign that you are still on the right path because if you were not on the right path, you would not be facing such opposition.
So let me encourage you today as I encourage myself. Don’t stop. Keep moving forward. You are victorious in Christ. Lean in when you need to lean in and cry out when you need to cry out. Our cries pulls from the Spirit. So if you need to cry out, cry out, but don’t give up. Keep fighting the good fight of faith.

These times are our faith builders. So don’t falter in faith and don’t faint. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not until your own understanding and in all your ways acknowledge him and he will continue to direct your path. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
And let’s not forget the very personal language that God has given us to speak directly to him and him alone our needs. Speaking in tongue is another strength builder.

Father God, we looked at you for strength today for your Word says when we are weak, you are strong. We asked that you lift every heavy burden Lord and free our minds and bodies from all stress. We trust in you.
Abba equip us with whatever we need to get through this trying time. Close off all access to the paths that you have not chosen for us and help us to keep our feet firmly on the path of righteousness.
And Lord, even in the mist of any anger that we’re going through Lord, let us have compassion for the bringer of this anger. Give us a spirit of forgiveness so that we may maintain our peace. And let us not get caught up in nonsense.
We place our faith in you, the Bringer of peace as we say, we will continue to walk by faith and not by sight. And Lord, as we arise triumphant and in victory, we give you all the glory.
In Jesus‘ name.
