Isaiah 61:3
"To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”" When most see this scripture they look at it as a scripture used to comfort those who have lost a loved one. I, see all the things that were in your way that God had to burn off of you to get you to the plan! Many times you mourn for the things that God had to change, but God says, "No more crying over the ashes! They are gone, gone, gone. Blown away. You don't need those things anymore." Yes, some of the stuff that God has taken away from us we needed at the time that we owned it. Some of our emotion helped us at the time, but those same emotions have now become a hindrance to the new you. They don't even belong to you any more so God has burned them away. Philippians 1:6 says, "Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;" So once these things are burned away God begins to complete the work He had already started in you. Remember the plan. Yes, He has a plan but it takes a lot of hard work to finish the plan. A lot of inner changes. You know how I like to talk about self-evaluations? What do you see in you now? Have you been changes? God doesn't give you ashes until you are ready for the next chapter. Everything God does has a purpose and this purpose has to do with you personally. It's meant to take you to another level. To move you to higher faith. So are you ready? Be blessed! Evangelist Cheryl Davies (www.fearnotministries.com)
