(This is the message that I was delivering when we experienced the miraculous with God. I tried to recreate as best as I can and praying that you have an experience with God as you read it.)
As Jesus was broken so must we also be broken. Psalm 51:17 “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:, O God, thou wilt not despise.” When we take Holy Communion there is the breaking of bread that represents the Body of Christ, broken for us. Broken with leather and blades and broken with our accusations, our tongues. Things haven’t changed much since then. Assassination by tongue is very much present in the world today. Tongue assassination is something most of us do without even realizing it. I can remember when I was younger and we would go into a grocery store and my Mother would tell me to “look at what that woman had on.” She talked about people a lot but she never realize what she was doing was wrong. Not only was it wrong but she was teaching her children to do the same thing and I did it for years. My siblings still do it and they think nothing of it. But as I began to learn and understand the things of God I knew in my heart that He didn’t want me talking about people the way I was. Criticizing them all the time. You do know that criticizing is a demonic spirit right? And so I prayed for God to deliver me from it. How many of you know that when you get delivered from something that it gives you power over that thing? Now how many of you know that there are also 2 sides to THAT power? When you are delivered from something you are granted the power to not allow this demon spirit to affect you ever again. But guess what? You are also given the power to allow it to affect you. {Revelation: In the days of the Bible a simple life was led. There were not as many distractions as we have today. Our jobs, electronics, television, radio. These things are static in our minds. Distractions that are blocking out the power of God. God is still moving today the way He did in Biblical times but our static is preventing the manifestation of the power of God. That is why His power is far more evident in small countries. They have fewer distractions, less static in their minds. If you want to responsible access the power that you have already been given then you are going to have to remove the static. And then you will be able to do as Jesus and lightly touch a person and they’ll be healed or lightly touch yourself and be healed.} Our mouth and our actions speak louder than we perceive them to. Not only are other people listening to what we speak but there are demonic spirit right now listening to every word that is coming from my mouth right now. Waiting for me to slip up in the use of the power that God granted me. Yes the power God gives us goes both ways. Why? Because it’s attached to that gift of free will that God gave us because He wanted US to choose Him on our own. And our tongue is the hardest power to control. We not only cause ourselves harm with it but we cause others great harm. Our mouth along with our heart and spirit it is the most important parts of our body. Romans 12:1-3 says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Not only are we to keep our bodies holy but we are to keep our tongues holy also. If what we speak is coming out of our bodies then it was first a part of our body. We have to keep it holy. 2 And be not conformed to this world; (Don’t talk as they talk) but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. While your heart determines how you feel about a thing, it is your mind controls what comes out of your mouth. You have to keep out holy too. Be mindful of what you watch and hear because it will stick to your brain to present its presence at a later day. 3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” Amen. So this is where the brokenness comes in. Anybody ever felt broken. Lost your loved one, disappointed with children, hurt by those closest to you. You may think that it is your feelings that were broken but no, it was your spirit. And you may think it was the devil that caused others to act the way they did and cause this brokenness, but it was God. Why? Because God knows that sometimes we get so distracted that we don’t pay attention to HIM and those wonderful desires He has for us and our lives which has to become true. And we need things to be broken off of us so that we can pay better attention. A broken and a contrite heart. A broken and contrite heart is a humble heart. It’s humble so that God can begin to build purpose on it. There was purpose in Jesus’ brokenness and since we are to be a reflection of Jesus there has to be brokenness in man so that God can begin to build on the stepstool of humility. A broken and contrite heart. Do we have any broke and contrite hearts in here today? Waiting and ready. Waiting and ready for God to build on that stepstool of humbleness.

James says in his 1st chapter, verse 6, “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.”
Are you allowing fear to take you to a place of doubt and disbelief? Every attack we receive from Satan through other people has a purpose and that purpose is to get you caught up in a mind-game of belief and disbelief. So let’s talk about the origin of this disbelief that resides in your mind. Disbelief is our second thought. It’s an afterthought called doubt. Disbelief is a mind-game created by Satan to move you into a place of fear. Once he has instilled fear in you Satan will begin to use other weapons from his arsenal. Fear is just the beginning and fear always has a purpose. That purpose is to move you to a place of doubt. Now think about it. When you’re afraid of something you begin to think irrationally and when you are irrational you begin to make mistakes like getting angry or saying hurtful things, which then will take you to a place called guilt, but let’s focus on fear for now. Fear is joined with disbelief as is anger. Anger is the emotion that is projected from fear and disbelief and fear is just contaminated faith. It’s contaminated when we begin to have doubt. Have you said or heard someone say things like, “I know God can heal me but He’ll do it in His time” or “I know God can do it but God helps those who help themselves.” This is erroneous thinking that comes from that place called doubt. You have allowed the afterthought to come forward. Not only do we allowed it to come forward, but some of us have allowed it to lead. Think back to a time that you resided in “GOD WILL.” For many this has changed to “God can.” Doubt, disbelief and fear. You are tramping around in the devil’s playground and you are having trouble finding your way back out. Well I’m here to tell you that there is a way back out. While Satan needs our fear in order to operate, God needs our faith to operate. The way out begins with a leap of faith. And the path will become clearer with every leap you take. (Ps. 89:33) Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. You have to be willing to not allow your faithfulness to fail. Don’t focus on how small your faith is. Instead begin to declare the growth of your faith. Romans 1:17 says, “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”” God reveals Himself to us through our faith. Not unchanging faith. Faith is an action that is supposed to be constantly changing. Constantly growing. “From faith to faith to faith.” And as this faith grows it begins to push out all doubt, all unbelief and all fear. But it’s not going to happen by you just sitting around waiting for some faith. No, it’s just the opposite. You need to be seeking out faith. Seeking it with your eyes, with your ears and with your heart. Notice how I conveniently left out your mind. That’s because your mind will make you overthink and lead you to be grounded in doubt. And yes I said with your eyes. Many are under the misconception that you can’t see faith but faith carries a manifestation. If your is in action you WILL begin to see it and it’s manifestations. You have to go looking for faith. Colossians 1:20-23 says, “and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. 21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works,” You see Satan playing mind-games to make you your own enemy. Step out of your thoughts and step into faith. Faith doesn’t need you to think. It just is. “yet now He has reconciled 22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— 23 if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.” To continue in the faith means to keep going. To continue means you don’t stop and live in a place of doubt. You don’t get rutted in your disbelief. You are in a constant movement towards greater faith. Let me give you an example of how even after being a witness to the greatness of God, sitting still will begin to rob you of your faith. I personally have witnessed miraculous things through God. He has sent me a personal message using birds. I have heard birds speak, but when I began to get laxed and was too busy to spend time with God, (that’s a standstill in case you didn’t know it. Not waiting on the Lord just standing still), I begin to question the power of God. My faith began to waver as I allowed doubt to creep in. Did I notice any of this while it was happening? No. It wasn’t until later when I began to serve the Lord again that I was able to look back and see how the enemy had begun to take little bites out of my faith. We have to continue. We have to be constantly moving forward in faith in order to get from faith to faith. I’ve said this before, if faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain then our faith must be smaller than that if we cannot operate under the power of God. The bible says these signs will follow those that believe. To believe is to have faith and we all need to do some growing in our faith. Let’s go to the Bible so that we can see that doubt has always been here but it can always be defeated. Mark 9:14-27, “And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them. 15 And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him. 16 And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them? 17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; 18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not. 19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me. 20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming. 21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. 22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do anything, have compassion on us, and help us. 23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. 24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. 25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. 26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. 27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose. So how did Jesus defeat the people’s doubt? With works and with action. He didn’t stop when the child lay as if dead. He continued on by taking his hand and lifting him up. So I say to you today, no standing still. You must go forward if you want to defeat doubt. You have to continue in the direction that God was leading you. That’s the only way that your faith will grow. That’s the only way your faith will go from faith to faith. 1 Kings 18:42, “So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,43 And said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” And he went up, and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And he said, Go again seven times. 44 And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, “Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down that the rain stop thee not.”
45 And it came to pass in the meanwhile, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain.” Did you hear that! “There was a great rain.” A downpour! Living in California we have been experiencing a drought for many months. Do you know what some of the effects of a drought are? Write these things down. It is my desire that you will become note takers. (Show my stash.) The lessons that you are receiving are coming down from above. This is how we received our bible. From the note takers. One day in the future it might be your notes that someone is reading, so make sure you gear your note taking to how God is expressing Himself to you. You ready? 1. A drought can cause you to begin to ration. It brings fear and you begin to store up for emergencies. Listen to this again: “It brings fear!” It brings fear that you will not have enough of what you need. 2. A drought causes people to do things they would ordinarily have never done. It makes you have irrational thoughts and behavior. 3. A drought can make you focus more on your lacks. It will highlight the things that you need to the point where you can only see the need. 4. A drought can block your vision. You become so focus on what is happening in the now that you cannot see the true state of the moment. Someone say elevate my vision Jesus. But a drought can bring so much more than these things if you allow it to. 1. It can elevate your vision. – Either it will take you to a place of hopelessness or it will take you to a place of promise. 2. It can enhance your desires. – It can take you to a place of focus on your desires and make you want those things even more. 3. And educate you on your future. - You can get divine revelation on how to act, or what you need to do. We all know that before the breakthroughs there is always a time of trial and hardship. Most people believe this to be Satan trying to block your blessings, but this is usually not the case. It is a time of preparation. Why preparation? You are either carrying something that needs to go or you are lacking something vital to your destination. God either wants to strip you down or He wants to build you up. Let’s face the truth right now. We have lived in this world and embraced many things of this world due to our lack of knowledge. So now you gained knowledge, but what about those things that have already attached themselves to you from the world? Do they just fall away? It would be nice if they did, but what really happens is you forget that they are there because they have become an intricate part of your being. The roots have dug in very deep and you usually can’t even see these less desirable things. But the Word says, “For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?” (1 Corinthians 3:3) And if these things just disappear as you gave your life over to Christ, God would not have made a provision of deliverance. Even our beloved Paul had to go through deliverance after he became a follower of Christ and his deliverance came through testing. Your testing is leading to your deliverance right now. Self-evaluate. I cannot say that enough. Self-evaluate. Self-evaluate. Self-evaluate. Say with me, “self-evaluate.” Write this down: What am I speaking to others? How am I acting in front of others? Do I look like replica of Christ or do I look like a replica of man? Am I ugly because I look just like the world, or am I beautiful because I look just like Jesus. Self-evaluations are not a onetime thing to do. It must be repeated every day, every step of the way. Whenever things get funky, do a self-evaluation. Look at your inner-self first. Take a good look at yourself and see what God is trying to cut out or off of you. Your season of drought will not end until God has completed this process of removal. Struggles. Struggles come in times of drought. The Bible says we will have these times, but we must stay focused on the promises. 2 Corinthians 4:8 - 9 says, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;” It’s getting ready to rain guys, but I we have no need for an umbrella. We want to get thoroughly soaked in this rain. Verse 16 “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” Step into your daily process with a self-evaluation and a determination to change. Verse 18 “ While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” Stop looking at the drought. Stop looking at the problem. Your solution lies in the rain that is to come, but you have to see it, you have to wait for it, and you have to pray for it. James 5:7-18 7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. 9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. Do you know how we judge others? We criticize what others say and do? If you are criticizing others then you better take a good look inside yourself. You ugly! That’s right I said you ugly. What did we just say earlier? If you are looking like the world the, you are ugly. 10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. 11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy. God is forgiving. He shows mercy to us when we err. But He never wants us to stay the same. Look at your neighbor and say, “Grow Up.” Now look at your other neighbor and say, “Grow Up.” 12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation. Stop saying one thing and meaning another. Stop lying to yourself and to others. Self-evaluation. 13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. You know, I can’t stand to lie. The reason why is because 9 out of 10 times if I lie I’m going to tell on myself within 10 minutes of the lie. But I don’t think of that as a bad thing. It’s a good thing. It keeps me accountable before God and man. Are you being accountable? Look at your neighbor and ask them, “are you being accountable?” Now tell them that you are going to pray for them. Now close your eyes and pray for them right now… because if you wait too long to do it you might forget. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. 17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. Are your prayers being answered? If not then you need to… self-evaluate. Repeat after me, “I need the rain.” “Lord send me your rain.” Let us pray. April 26,2014 Sermon at the Church Of God Tabernacle in San Diego.
What say i? Are you saying what God wants you to say? Or are you say what you want to say? Is He filling your mouth with His words? Or are you allowing your flesh to dictate what comes out of your mouth? Did He not set you up to speak His Word before He even formed you?
Let’s go to: Jeremiah 1:4-11 and hear what the Lord is speaking to our spirits even this day. “4 Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” God has ordained YOU! He has ordained YOU as a minister of His Word. Prophet, Apostle, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. It doesn’t matter if you have a title now. God called you YOUR name before you were created. I can see Him now and He’s calling PROPHET. And then He picks a womb to place His prophet in. Before you were even conceived God called you YOUR name. And YOUR name is Prophet, Apostle, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher, Deacon, Elder. And this calling puts us not above man but it creates in us a servants heart. We become servants of man. We become responsible for helping them reach the place of walking in the spirit and not in the flesh. For helping them to become their name. Prophet, Apostle, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher, Deacon, Elder. There is always a responsibility that goes with your name. verse “6 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.” When we walked in the world we couldn’t wait to reach the age of maturity. This should be even more so in the spirit. For as we once desired the milk of the Word – (1 Peter 2:2) we now desire the meat of the Word. For your word says in John 6:27, “Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.” It is this meat that we now desire Lord. This seal of the Lord. Your career has become YOUR NAME and God has to teach YOU to walk in these careers, in YOUR NAME. And He now feeds us the meat of His Word because of the anointing in YOUR NAME. And He doesn’t just feed us, but He seals it! What does this mean? “He seals it.” He’s not talking about closing it up, not talking about closing it up in you, because if He were to do that than you would you never be able to speak it. He’s talking about placing His holy seal upon His words. Remember in the days of Kings and Queens and royal courts. Whenever the King made a proclamation to go out to the people he would place his seal on it. It was his stamp of approval. Proof that he wrote this and that he agrees with what was written. Check this out: I googled the word seal because I was interested in what the world has to say about it and this is one of the definitions that I found. Pay close attention now. “SEAL, a device or substance that is used to join two things together so as to prevent them from coming apart or to prevent anything from passing between them.” God’s seal unites His word with you and it not only unites but it prevents anything from coming between you and His word. Hallelujah, Hallelujah! God has placed His seal of approval on the words that He has placed in you. He is saying that He agrees with those words so hold tight to that seal and do not allow compromises to separate (unstick) you from it. Continuing with Jeremiah, Verse “7 But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Now this is where we sometimes get into trouble. The Word says, “whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak”. Not what we want to speak, not what I say, but what God wants us to speak. Do not allow your flesh to dictate what comes out of your mouth. Flesh will abuse and exploit power, but the spirit, the spirit will respect that power and use it to encourage and uplift both sinners and saints. God is commanding us. His Word is commanding us to speak what He commands us to speak. What does this really mean? It means that we cannot compromise the Word with our flesh. To compromise is to pollute what God has said. Go in your Bible to: Ezra 2:59-62, “59 And these were they which went up from Telmelah, Telharsa, Cherub, Addan, and Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, and their seed, whether they were of Israel: They could not prove that they were the descendants of Israel. Verse “60 The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred fifty and two. 61 And of the children of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai; which took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name: 62 These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy,” Those that had proof of their bloodlines. They could not prove their bloodline because they had begun to intermarry with the people of the lands that they inhabited. The Children of Israel had made compromises that affected their offspring generations later. “but they were not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood. They were fearful that God would not place His seal on them and so they would not allow them to serve. verse 63 And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim.” They were banished from the priesthood because of a compromise generations ago. They had to wait for a true priest from the rightful bloodline to come. From an unpolluted bloodline. From an uncompromised bloodline. Can you see where I am going with this word? Do not compromise the word that God has placed in your mouth. Personally if you receive what the Lord has told me to say, I consider it a blessing. However for those that will not receive the word it brings me grief and sorrow, but I will not and cannot compromise. We are about our Father’s business and not the business of man. Let’s go back to Jeremiah. verse “8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.” We go forth in the boldness of the Lord just as Peter and John did in Acts 4:13. It was the boldness, the boldness that turned the people to listen to what they perceived to be uneducated men. It is the boldness that says we have been in the presence of Jesus. The boldness. And we need this boldness because it helps the unbeliever. Did you see that? Hallelujah! God has already set them up to receive what you must say. He made them respect the boldness. He made them believe the boldness. Hallelujah! Thank you Lord! verse “9 Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.” Reach up and place your hand on your mouths right now. God is placing His Words in your mouth even now. Hallelujah! He wants to tell you what to say because His words have purpose. Repeat after me: I will say, what God tells me to say, and I will make no compromises. I will not, compromise His words. I will say it, the way, God tells me, to say it. And, I will not, change, nor add, to His word. Amen Know this now… the words of the flesh will harm men. But the words of God will strengthen, uplift and empower men. It is only the words of God that He will place His seal upon. He will never bless what comes from your flesh. He blesses only the words that He has told you to speak. verse “10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.” The Word has a purpose. The Word has a purpose. It has a purpose and that purpose can root out or it can dig up. It can pull down or it can lift up. It can destroy or it can build. The Word has a definite purpose and that purpose only comes when we say what God has told us to say. Verse “11 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou?” What seeth thou? It is the Word combined with our faith and Holy Spirit that allows us to see into the spirit realm. To see that thing before it even gets here. It’s called vision. Do you have God’s vision? What seeth thou? The words that He has placed in your mouth is not just for the world, but it for you too. It takes us to a place of vision. Of seeing what the Lord has already declared. What He has already spoken and what He has command us to speak. So I ask you, are you saying, “what say I”? Or are you saying”, “what saidth the Lord”? And so I end this short but powerful message today asking you, “What seest thou?” Written by: Evangelist Cheryl Davies 5/26/2014 Revelations 2:2-5. The Loveless Church
This is the Church that has left its first love. It is loveless despite all the things that they are doing. They labored, they had patience, and they couldn’t bear evil. But they had not love. This is a very strong accusation: "You have left your first love." (v4). When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment in the law was, His reply was: (Matthew 22:39) "You shall love the Lord your God with all of your heart, and with all of your soul, and with all of your mind." God should be the first love of every Christian, and when we go back and set our heart on worldly things then we have left off loving God. We must refocus our love on God and set aside our worldly aspiration because we are instructed by John to : "Not love the world, nor the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him." (1 John 2:15) Revelations 2:8-11. The Persecuted Church This is the Church that is being tested by faith. It goes through trials and tribulations and is expected to be tested even to the death. But God says to stay faithful and He will grant you the Crown of life. Revelations 2:12-17 The Compromising Church This is the Church that changes direction so much that it begins to make compromises. It members came out of the darkness but still held onto some of their former beliefs before making their confession for Christ. These are the things like the pagan holidays being celebrated by Christians. Some may even change the name but it’s still a compromise. This is exactly what is called the doctrine of the Nicolaitans that is mentioned in verse 15. Named after a man called Nicholas who was a pagan idol worshipper who converted to Judaism and then to the Christian belief. Nicholas taught a doctrine of compromise because he, himself had made many compromises in his lifetime. We can say that it was his lifestyle and that’s what he taught. And the last Church for this message is The Corrupt Church. Revelations 2:18-28, This is the Church that seemed to be doing everything right. Good works, love, service, faith and patience, but they allowed Jezebel into the Church and she began to seduce them. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 11:3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. The head of woman is man. The world has turned this around and many of us have been raised in families with the female actually being the head. Let us turn back to God’s order for the church and the family. Let’s get our houses back in order so that God will receive us as His own. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’ By Evangelist Cheryl Davies Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Faith is believing in the unseen. Believing that God will. 23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s command. Faith conquers your fear. 24 By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25 choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, Faith sees beyond all our afflictions into the supernatural power of God. Just as many things in the Kingdom works, faith grows by levels. Romans 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” So what is this faith to faith? How many remember the first time that they recited the sinner’s prayer? The 1st time I felt nothing. But after I began to build a relationship with God it began to have a value. Why? Because I didn't have faith the 1st time. As I began to mature in Christ it began to mean more and more to me. Can you see the faith to faith? And no you know in your knowa that the words of salvation really achieved a purpose. But there is a higher purpose for your faith. Faith is your portal to the Glory of God. Why should we be so concerned with the Glory of God? Because it is the Glory of God that leads to the Power of God. Repeat after me: “The supernatural power of God” Say it again. Again. We are meant to walk in the supernatural power of God and our faith takes us to the gates of heaven which God has already opened to pour out His glory. This has always been the plan of God for us to have access to His glory. Someone read Ephesians 1:10 for me. Now let’s simplify that some. I just love how the Message says it: Ephesians 1:10, “He thought of everything, provided for everything we could possibly need, letting us in on the plans he took such delight in making. He set it all out before us in Christ, a long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed up in Him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth.” Until now we the church haven’t been accessing everything that God had set up for us from the time He created the earth and man. You see heaven contains 3 dimensions of the supernatural: The Kingdom The Glory The Power Matt. 6:13, “For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.” The Kingdom is our faith guys. So many people are talking about the Kingdom of God, but you have to know what the true essence of the Kingdom is. It’s our faith. Matthew 6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” You cannot seek the Kingdom of God without faith. Mark 4:30, “Then He said, “To what shall we liken the Kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it?” We talked a little about this last week. We are again talking about a seed. Isn’t it funny how we can get so much from a little seed. But today we are talking about having faith the size of a mustard seed. And that little bit of faith giving us access to the Kingdom of God. So what does this say to us? It says that the Kingdom of God is the manifestation of our faith. God created the heavens on the first day but the Kingdom of God is a connection between our faith and the Spirit of God. From faith to faith to faith to faith the size of a mustard seed, to the Kingdom of God. Matthew 6:10, “Your Kingdom come. Your Will be done On earth as it is in heaven.” Go to: Matthew 12:28, “But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the Kingdom of God has come upon you.” Did you see that? Hallelujah! Someone better begin to praise the Lord. The Glory The Glory is the Fullness of God. Colossians 2:8-10, “8 See to it that no one carries you off as spoil or makes you yourselves captive by his so-called philosophy and intellectualism and vain deceit (idle fancies and plain nonsense), following human tradition (men’s ideas of the material rather than the spiritual world), just crude notions following the rudimentary and elemental teachings of the universe and disregarding [the teachings of] Christ (the Messiah). 9 For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature]. 10 And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power].” Now this is what the glory does: The glory transforms us into God’s image. 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 says, “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” There is so much power in the glory that it transforms us. This is the deep calling to the deep. John 17:22, “And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:” This glory unites us with God, with Jesus and with the Holy Spirit. The Power - The power is the anointing of God. It is this anointing that moves us into the supernatural power of God. Jesus had the anointing without measure and He passed this anointing down to us, the church. But in order to access this anointing we have to create an atmosphere conducive to calling forth the miracles. Our atmosphere is spirit so we must change it so that we may be lifted up and touch the glory of God. Touching this glory is what brings about the miracles and the changes in our lives. The thing is that we have been focusing on how Peter fell after walking on the water when we need to be focusing on how he walked on water. Matt. 14:26 Notice how Jesus didn’t lift him out of the boat, but He called him to Him. He waited for Peter to activate his faith, to tap into the glory of Christ by taking a step on his own to walk on water. Now is the time for the Church to step into the fullness of God. The heavens are already open because they were opened when Jesus was baptized and He gave us access to that power through His glory. Until now we have been in bondage to time, allowing time to control us when we are supposed to be controlling time. Look at when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. He never worried because He had already stopped time and He knew that Lazarus wasn’t going anywhere. Stop allowing time to tell you what to do. We are supposed to be telling time what to do. In time things breaks down, decay and become old, but when we step into the glory of God things regenerates and moves back into order. The glory of God is a restorer. It brings heaven down to the earth through you. This is our moment in time to touch the glory and to begin to perform miracles and take dominion over every inch of our lives. So reach up and touch the glory of God and pull down that job you are in need of or the money for that car payment that you don’t have. Reach up and touch the glory. By Evangelist Cheryl Davies Some of you will not want to hear this, but if you are truly seeking after the truth, then seek it today and be enlightened. I wanted a relationship with God and a relationship means that I am seeking after the heart and thoughts of God.
Throughout the Bible God has placed great emphasis on names. For example: Genesis 29:34-35, “She conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Now this time my husband will become attached to me, because I have borne him three sons.” Therefore his name was called Levi. And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Now I will praise the Lord.” Therefore she called his name Judah. Then she stopped bearing.” (Levi and Judah were the beginning of two tribes, the Levities and the Tribe of Judah. Levi means “attached” and Judah means “praise”. ) Genesis 32:28, “And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”” (His blessing for his struggle. Israel means “God contended”) 2 Samuel 12:24-25, “Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba, and he went to her and made love to her. She gave birth to a son, and they named him Solomon. The Lord loved him; and because the Lord loved him, he sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah. (His name was changed out of love. Jedidiah means “beloved by God”) Acts 13:9, “Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.” (His name was changed because of his rebirth. Paul means “humble”.) Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” (Immanuel means “God is with you”.) Names are very important in the Kingdom of God. Now with that in mind we have to look at one of the most sacred events that is almost here. The resurrection of Jesus. Years back I request the Father to cut out of me everything that was not of Him and that meant I needed to know the truth in everything. All lies had to be revealed so that I could destroy them and they would no longer have dominion over my life. I pray this for you today as the truth is revealed to you. Many Christians have adopted the habits of the secular world and get excited when it is time to celebrate “Easter”. So what does this word “Easter” mean? It was ultimately named for the Germanic spring goddess Eostre. It was traditionally given to children born on Easter, though it is no longer done today. This goddess was the god of fertility, thus you have the egg and the rabbit. She was a sexual god that the pagans committed many sexual rituals to honor her in the belief that they would bear children with her blessing. It is these rituals that the early Christians attempted to remove the pagans from committing. These sexual rituals were the most important thing to stop. It wasn’t so bad that they had idols, but it was really bad what they did for these idols. If they could just stop them from practicing the rituals and teach them to believe in Jesus, maybe, just maybe, they will be converted. In actuality, they still preformed their rituals but in secret. Why? Because they had not been fully changed. They were taught the name Jesus, but were never taught about having a relationship with Jesus. Never knew of the intimacy relationship brings when you seek to truly know the Lord. But instead, these early Christians made compromises not only with the faith of the pagans, but also with their own faith. It was a case of give and take. I want to give you this, and yes I will accept that from you. But wait! Are we not taught to take nothing from the world? That everything we desire can be found in God? Read : Mark 4 About the Parable of the Sower. Vs 9 Listen! They placed more emphasis on the conversion than on the lifestyle and this resulted in a bad root. They placed more emphasis on the conversion than on relationship. Have you placed more emphasis on Easter than on the holy death that freed us all. Let’s take a look at the root. 1) This was a pagan holiday. 2) It is named after a pagan God. 3) Christ’s death on the cross is an afterthought. It was added to something that was not at all holy. Now this is what the Word says on the root: Hosea 9:16, “Ephraim is stricken, Their root is dried up; They shall bear no fruit. Yes, were they to bear children, I would kill the darlings of their womb.” This celebration of Easter is in fact death to your children. If the root is bad, then there will be no fruit or there will be a bad tasting fruit. This made me see this second scripture in a whole new light. Jude 1:12, “These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots;” Easter is a love feast that is feasted on without fear. It does not serve God. It only serves man while implying that it is serving God. When we come to God the Bible tells us to leave behind the things of this world, something the early Christians failed to do or teach when they converted the pagans. It has no association with the sacrifice that Jesus made on the Cross so that you could have salvation. In fact, it is an attempt of the enemy to remove you from that salvation. It has become a generational curse to man. A curse that only you can break off of your bloodline. Pull it up now and destroy it. I appeal to your desire for the truth. Here is another question: What should you give to someone that gave up his life for you? An egg? Come on people! Time is short and this, like so many other things we need to get free of it. We need to loose ourselves from Easter. Our desire has to be more for God than for man. I refuse to face the Father and have Him say to me, “I don’t know you.” But this choice is yours alone to make. Study and show yourselves approved by seeking out the truth on your own. Look for the root and when it is rotten, rip it out of the ground. In Jesus’ name RIP IT OUT OF THE GROUND. Someone say no more water the bad seed. Now if you have been celebrating Easter instead of the Holy Resurrection you need to come up here and free yourself from that foul idol. AMEN!!!!!!!!!! Genesis 3:15 14-15 God told the serpent: "Because you've done this, you're cursed, cursed beyond all cattle and wild animals, Cursed to slink on your belly and eat dirt all your life. I'm declaring war between you and the Woman, between your offspring and hers. He'll wound your head, you'll wound his heel." (The Message) Are you finding yourself going through the same trials over and over again because you make the same mistakes repeatedly? Do you feel like you are constantly battling against man? Then you have not entered into the real battle. Your battle is not against man but against Satan and all his minions. Ephesians 6:12 says, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” There is a spiritual battle that you have not yet begun to fight. Your battle is never against man, but is against spiritual wickedness in high place. I want to go into how you fight this battle. In order to fight you must know your enemy. What spirit are you coming up against? Then you must choose to stand and fight. How do we fight? God gave us many weapons to fight this spiritual battle. Ephesians 6 - “14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—“ If you don’t know the Word than you will never be able to fight. The Word is a defensive and an offensive method of fighting the enemy and the Word can only be activated with your mouth. Our words are spirit and contain power. You have to speak words into the atmosphere. When I go into battle I go with a “take no prisoner attitude.” I’m not looking to hold the enemy captive for a short time. I want to defeat him permanently. I want to keep him from ever getting a foothold in my door. I look him in the face and call him by name. I speak boldly to him because I have come into an understanding of the authority granted to me by Christ. I let satan know that I know that I have what I say I have and that whatever I speak into the atmosphere will come to pass. The thing is satan doesn’t want you to know that you have that authority. He fears you gaining knowledge and wisdom because that, gives you power. Power to defeat him. Not just for you but for all your family. Anything connected to you through your bloodline stands is under your authority and if you do not use your authority then you will be defeated over and over again. Don’t give in to the fight and the lies of satan. Your thoughts are not going to get this job done. You must defeat him with your tongue and with the Spirit of the Living God. You must enter this battle both spiritually and physically. When I go into battle my whole body is utilized. I use my mouth, my hands, my feet, my tears and even my ears. I listen spiritually for guidance from God on which weapon to reach for in my arsenal. Is it time for my spiritual tongue Lord? Do I need to walk this one out? Father You said that I shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, and that the young lion and the serpent I would trample underfoot in Psalm 91. Do I need to cleanse it with my tears? You will never know what weapon to use that will defeat Satan until you are spiritually connected to God. We have the power within to defeat the enemy. Activate the battle in the spirit realm and be free. Stand against all the whiles of the enemy, but don’t just stand. Fight. Fight for your life and for your freedom and for your children’s freedom and your children’s children. Let him know that he can never intimidate you again. You are not a coward. Find your strength in God and go on the offense. Chase the enemy down in whatever cave he is held up in. Drag him out by his tail and put his weaknesses on display for all to see. Paul tells us that we need to disarm the enemy. Not just disarm him but whoop on him real good. Not only in private but publicly. Colossians 2:15, “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” Why publicly? So that others can see the victory that is awaiting them. You don’t battle for yourself only but you battle for the deliverance of others. Now, will you enter into the battle with me? |
