1 Corinthians 2 It’s time to step it up!! In this day and time it’s so important for us to be spirit bound. Daily goal: Seek to walk in the spirit continually. Not an easy task to complete but it must be attainable or we would not have been instructed by Paul in Galatians to walk in the spirit for God has given us His Spirit so that we may not only have His wisdom but His knowledge and understanding of all things pertaining to life. You see if we walk in the natural we give the world the privilege to judge us, but if we walk in the spirit there is no longer a need for judgement nor condemnation because only good can be found in the spirit. We really need to step it up. A large portion of Christians are buying into everything this world is offering but can you push away from the table to see what the Spirit is saying. The table Jesus is spreading is far greater than anything man can lay before you. But you have to put in the work. Arguments and disagreements are meaningless in the Spirit. Only the peace of God can reside there. One thing I can tell you is you will never reach spirit dwelling if you don’t live in the Word of God and commune with Father God daily. How can God take you seriously if you don’t take Him seriously? We can’t reach the Spirit without Him. God doesn’t live only on Sunday. You have to want more to get more. This doesn’t mean you won’t never go through hard times. It doesn’t mean people won’t come against you. It means you will always have the answer. When things are coming against you it is only in the spirit that you will find those answers you seek and the peace of God you get from knowing the answer. We must seek Holy Spirit's wisdom over the wisdom of this world and nothing will be able to hold us down. Worldly things will begin to flee from your presence. Depression - GONE! Replaced with the peace of God. Fear - GONE! Replaced with the strength of God. Anger - GONE! Replaced with the love of God. Anxiety - GONE, GONE, GONE! There is an answer for everything in the Spirit of God! Be blessed! Evangelist Cheryl Owolabi (www.fearnotministries.com) #WalkInTheSpirit #StepItUp #DoTheWork #JesusIsLord #SharingIsCaring

Luke 5:1-11 When I think of all my weaknesses I am always brought back to mind the Apostle Peter. I really love this guy. God used him for so much, but number 1 on my list is how God used him as an example. Through his words we see him in his strengths and we see him in his weaknesses. Contrary to the Bible, many people go to great lengths to hide their weaknesses. We don’t want others to view us a being weak. In fact, I was raised to believe that because of my family name I was strong and never weak. Weakness was thought to be a serious offense in my family as well as with many families that are from my culture. Yet, when we draw from the Word our culture begins to change completely. We see this so well with Simon Peter. Once he knewwww who Jesus was he boldly declared himself a sinner. When I say knew I am referring to a place of no doubt. The place of true clarity that came after witnessing the power of God in Jesus as their nets became full! You see there’s a knew, where you kind of believe what everyone is saying and there’s a knewwww, where you know these things to be true for yourself. What draws me in is how Jesus never told him to go and sin no more. I mean, this is one of Jesus’ sayings that He often declared to the people. I’m healed – go and sin no more, I’m made whole – go and sin no more, I'm forgiven - go and sin no more. But Simon Peter boldly stated to Jesus, “Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord” and Jesus didn't tell him to go and sin no more. Say what? Okay, so Peter is a sinner. His weakness exposed boldly. And then later we see his sin when he lies claiming no knowledge of who Jesus is. [(John 18: 25 “And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.”] His weakness exposed over and over again to the count of 3. Can this be true?! Peter whom we look up to as the ultimate Apostle boldly telling a lie? Listen. Peter was but a mere man. His weakness at this time and from the time he first met the Son of God shows us how sometimes we really need to have patience. There are deliverances that comes swiftly, “Go and sin no more” and deliverance that come through a process of growth, maturity and time. Peter’s deliverance from sin happened over a period of time. He continually evaluated himself and these evaluations took him from a place of milk to a place of meat. Why was this? Because Peter was constantly seeking the things above. His desires towards knowing Jesus while He was walking upon this earth and after He ascended grew more and more daily. It was Peter that said, “He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (2 Cor. 12) As a person belonging to Christ we must stop judging weaknesses. We need to stop seeing weakness as being a flaw. This is the way the world thinks. Weakness is a plus in the kingdom of God! Weakness means God has room to show His strength! It means we have room for the glory of God! It means God has room to create!!! Yes God we are all weak in some area of our lives and we ask that You use those areas for Your creativity! Use them to bring the glory of God in us! Use them to show this world that Your light shines bright even in our weaknesses. You be the strength God! You be the glory!!! In Jesus’ mighty name! Amen! [Please take time today to read 2 Corinthians 12 and grab the strength of God today.] Be blessed!
