Most people only look at the times the devil tempted and taunted Jesus, but did you know that even before Lucipher came into the picture that Jesus went through the same taunts with His brothers? Family will put us through the worst trials ever yet these trials were a preparation for what was to come and like Jesus, when our family baits us we have to be unmoveable. Sometimes we have to just say "no" and take a step back.
Here's how Jesus says "no". John 7:2-8, 2 Now the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was approaching. 3 So His brothers said to Him, “Leave here and go to Judea, so that Your disciples [there] may also see the works that You do. 4 No one does anything in secret when he wants to be known publicly. If You [must] do these things, show Yourself openly to the world and make Yourself known!” 5 For not even His brothers believed in Him. 6 So Jesus said to them, “My time has not yet come; but any time is right for you. 7 The world cannot hate you[since you are part of it], but it does hate Me because I denounce it and testify that its deeds are evil. 8 Go up to the feast yourselves. I am not going up to this feast because My time has not yet fully come.” His brothers were of the world. They didn't believe that He was the Son of God so they tried to bait Him mixing a little bit of truth and pride to try and draw Jesus in. They didn't really want Jesus to go to the feast since they knew His life would be in danger. They didn't even understand that His desire was not to be known. This was a pretest but Jesus understood what they were doing and became UNMOVEABLE no matter how they tried to play Him. He understood His time and season were coming but it was not upon Him yet. Do not allow family to lead you someplace you're not meant to go yet! I know the hardest people to say no to is family, but you can do it! Just like Jesus we have to be unmoveable in what we know to be true. There is a set time for everything concerning our lives but we tend to allow friends and family to move us into places before its time. Be UNMOVEABLE until you reach your time. Do you know Time and Purpose goes hand in hand in the kingdom of God? One cannot be achieved without the other and carry meaning. Jesus knew this and dispite the goading of His family He waited on the appointed time for His purpose to be revealed. He was UNMOVEABLE to the taunts of His brothers that tried to move Him out of alignment with His time and purpuse. Stay faithful. Stay strong. Stay UNMOVEABLE! What you are called to do is not depending on your family or friends. It depends on you staying in alignment with your time and purpose. I hear the Lord saying that this is not the time to be bending or swaying in the wind. Be steady. Be strong. Be UNMOVABLE! Sometimes I just want to be quiet and keep the things God teach me to myself because it's usually something that man don't want to hear because they don't want to give up the things they love so much. But I've been commissioned by God to be the bearer of truth not just to those that want to hear it but to all mankind. So those who have an ear, hear the truth and be set free!
It's been 10 years since God began removing me from celebrating pagan festivals but the first step was to search out the truth and if you're a truth seeker like me then you'll have to look at the root of the tree. If the root is good the the tree is healthy but if the root is bad then the tree is rotten and the root of these celebrations (Halloween, Christmas and Easter) are all bad because they started out as pagan festivals. I like to call them conversions gone wrong. Way wrong because the repercussions of Christian errors are still vibrating today and not only that but other cultures have now taken them on as their own. Christmas is known and celebrated worldwide now and like so many other things the celebrating of these pagan feasts is angering the God we claim to love so much. This shows us that people are reading their Bible either without comprehension or they have decided to only follow portions that they agree with out of the Bible. It's my prayer that it's miscomprehension because that will urge you to seek out the truth. I grew up celebrating every pagan holiday in America from Halloween to Christmas and Mardi Gras, ending in Easter and yes I was a Christian.I just didn't know and my family didn't know the truth. But to mature in Christ is to seek out the truth in all things, not just the things that won't change your life. It's a hard thing to break from tradition. So hard in fact that it was a 10 year journey to freedom for me. All the strange looks never deterred me. I'm chasing after the heart of God! That's the most important thing in my life. In Isaiah 1:14 God says, "Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them ." God is tired of us holding onto things that never belonged to us or Him. Celebrating pagan feasts because these feasts were always meant to worship false gods. Throughout history there has always been the followers of God and the followers of gods. Following false gods is a worldly thing. Always has been and always will be. Understand this, I'm not talking about just Santa Clause. There were so many gods that the pagans worshipped. Sun god, Moon god, Seasons gods, fertility or sex gods. They had a god for everything and they loved these false gods and had many festivals to worship these gods. So along comes Christianity doing what Christians are suppose to do, discipleship. But things went seriously wrong when the people wanted Jesus and their gods too and the Christians said sure! So compromises were made and Christmas, Easter and other less famous festivals were created. Now I don't know about you but my Bible tells me to never compromise my belief. Proverbs 25:26, "Like a muddied fountain and a polluted spring Is a righteous man who yields and compromises his integrity before the wicked." But compromise they did! The Bible also says, "Little children (believers, dear ones), guard yourselves from idols—[false teachings, moral compromises, and anything that would take God’s place in your heart]." 1 John 5:21 So these things are of the world and separates you from Jesus. Anything that God feels hatred towards separates you from Him if you embrace it. Christmas was the hardest trial for me ever to conquer because I'm one of those people that would go all out for holidays decorating not only outside but also the inside of my house and even my car at times. But the Bible says the truth will set you free and once I knew the truth I began taking steps toward it in my life. Gradually I defeated my fleshly desires and today I am totally free of pagan feasts!!! Glory to God!!! Now I can share these things with you but it's up to you to make the choice of seeking the truth. God says there is no in between, no gray areas no compromising. So knowing the truth about these Pagan Festivals being celebrated by God's people I choose to make a stand for God! My pages will not be sharing anything glorifying pagan festivals. I love you all but I can't and won't support the lies that has been passed down to God's people for generations. So if I you didn't want to hear this, try not to be angry but instead try to find the truth for yourselves because if you really want all of Jesus you must know everything concerning Him is truth for our Bibles tells us that He is the way, the truth and the life. ~John 14:6~ God bless you!
