During our time on this earth we cannot live it perfectly. That’s the plain and simple truth. We are human and we will make many errors in and with our lives, some small and some big. You need to know that nothing is too big to fix. We may not be able to change the mistakes we made but we can always change the outcome. It all depends on where you reside in the spirit and the grace that you carry inside you. There’s a scripture that says our strength comes from the Lord. Well so does our grace. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” But grace doesn’t come without maturity. This maturity is not a worldly maturity but it’s a spiritual maturity. A maturity that says, “I know I am responsible for my own mistakes and I’m ready to work on creating a different outcome.” It keeps you from beating yourself down but instead is a pickup and a carry on attitude. Spiritual maturity is being able to learn from our mistakes. To learn and to grow not being stuck in the golly gee and whoa be me. “Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” This is not just infirmity of sickness. It’s a lack of power and a moral weakness of the flesh. It’s this weakness that is the means of our mistakes and one thing is certain and that is that we will never stop making mistakes. Don’t let your mistakes become a knife that severs your relationship with God. It’s not meant to separate you, but if you begin to embrace them and handle your errors in life with grace you will actually begin to strengthen your relationship with God. Be blessed!
