This morning I met a really sweet young Asian man. As sweet as he was he was afflicted with many spirits. The Jesus in me wanted to minister to the man, but when I asked him if he wanted his mind to be clear he said it was clear even while mumbling incoherent words. I talked to him for a minute to see where he was and if I could get him to change his mind. He wasn't read so I told him that I loved him and left. Unfortunately, not everyone is ready to be free, but you know what? I saw this man free so I know that his time is close at hand, but Jesus cannot help him until he wants to be helped. He has to want his freedom. Matthew 20:31-33 says, "And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. 32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? 33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. 34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him. While it saddened me to have to walk away, seeing that he will be free brings me great joy." My word for you today is that we can't force a person to be free from demonic spirits. They have to want to be free. Giving him freedom now is useless because it will leave his house empty. He must be ready for Holy spirit to feel that empty place. If we force it we will end up doing more damage to the individual and he may never be able to see his way out. In Matthew 12:43-45 we learn about the consequences of inadequate deliverance. "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation." It is so important to know the will of God for the people we are ministering to. Flesh says, "Save him" but Holy Spirit says, "Wait." For everything there IS a Season and it just wasn't the young man's Season yet. Please join with me in prayer that this man's season comes upon him quickly. Be blessed!
