When there is a battle soldiers will put on a war-face. They might smear mud or paint on their face to make themselves look more vicious than they would if their faces were bare. They do this because they know that most of the battle is in the mind.
“IF I CAN GET YOU TO THINK THAT I AM STRONGER AND GREATER THAN YOU, THEN I HAVE ALREADY BEATEN YOU.” This man named Goliath was a giant for sure, but the truth of the matter is usually the bigger you are the slower you move. Not to mention the fact that he was weighted down by heavy bronze armor. To the Israelite's this man looked like a monster covered in bronze scales. Goliath got into the Israelite's mind first. However when you are spiritually fit looks can't fool you. You continue to stand in the midst of God's promises and you move in faith. 1 Samuel 17:34-37, But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, 35 I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. 36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. 37 The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” Being spiritually fit will empower you to do great feats under the power of God. But remember what happened before David fought Goliath? Saul’s men tried to dress him as Goliath. They tried to cover him in heavy armor and he could not withstand the weight of. They gave him a sword that he could not lift. But his spiritual fitness gave him wisdom. Being spiritually fit will give you wisdom because you are spiritually connected to the greatest wisdom of all. Our Father God is the only one that can make you spiritually fit, but even He can’t do it unless you surrender your spirit to Him. Your spirit is everything and yet it takes everything for you to have faith enough to surrender it all. Faith is only the beginning to being spiritually fit. It is only through total surrender to Jesus and our Father above that we are made spiritually fit. So my question to you is, “What is the state of your spirit?” Be blessed!
